SamaCare helps to eliminate the administrative barriers that limit patient access to life-changing therapies. Insurance-related administrative hassles for prescription drugs result in worse outcomes for patients, delayed therapy, and over $100B of administrative waste for the US healthcare system. Medical providers are forced to manage these workflows on stone-age technology (fax, calls, and snail mail). SamaCare has built a software platform to help practices streamline those administrative workflows and a two-sided business model that has scaled to hit medical offices serving nearly 2 million patients (and growing rapidly). As a Venture Capital (VC)-funded company, we’re building a team to help us scale, so that every patient gets access to the right treatment at the right time.
Role Overview
You’ll focus on closing new pharma sales contracts. You will establish systems/processes and will be excited to navigate the enterprise sales cycle with pharmaceutical customers from beginning to end.  This role will be reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, and will  build a pipeline of compelling targets and shape a playbook for the success of future pharma Sales Executives.

Responsibilities:

    • Deliver on quarterly & annual sales targets.Provide regular pipeline updates / forecasts to executive leadership.Operate with a high degree of autonomy and manage outreach / sales cycle. Work closely with SDR in generating warm leads.Take warm leads from SDR and move them through the sales funnel.Conduct outreach and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders in an engaging and professional manner, always with SamaCare’s best interests in mind. Run Customer Discovery and Qualification to identify high-potential opportunities; understand SamaCare’s value proposition inside and out to tailor sales approach to match the needs of the prospect.  Post sales, map out the customer to support the Account Manager for upsells.

Requirements:

    • Has experience in the Life Sciences industry, especially with Buy-&-Bill drugs.Has a network of pharma relationships in Marketing, Patient Services, and Market Access.Has a deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles for specialty pharma.Shows a growth mindset - we value creativity, critical thinking and candor.Has SaaS software selling experience.Is highly proactive and self-motivated - gets work done when no one is watching!Is empathetic and energetic when interacting with customers, both in-person and via phone/remote.Is analytical and detail-oriented, and comfortable using BI tools.Understands how to build sales momentum within complex enterprise buyers — e.g., figuring out how to “swarm” different targets at the buyer.Is comfortable with travel - up to 40% travel to client sites and conferences
$90,000 - $175,000 a year

Compensation commensurate with experience.
