The Sauce team pools together decades of restaurant tech experience, along with seasoned tech, sales, marketing, product and operations executives who produce an industry-changing delivery system for successful local restaurants and chains.

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer with basic automation skills and a desire to develop further in this area to join our R&D team remotely.

You will report directly to the Manager, QA here at Sauce

What You'll Do:

    • Perform manual testing
    • Create, update and maintain test artifacts
    • Work with Team Leaders and Developers to design and execute test plans
    • Be responsible for feature testing and approval for release
    • Contribute to the development and improvement of the test automation framework
    • Understand how system works and suggest ways to improve

What You Bring:

    • At least 6 years of manual QA experience
    • Strong API testing background
    • Proficient knowledge of REST API
    • Testing tools experience (Postman, DevTools, Fiddler/Charles Proxy, Swagger)
    • Experience in managing and delivering quality work in environments with shifting priorities
    • Basic experience with automation QA
    • Good understanding of QA processes and SDLC including agile methodologies
    • Familiarity with scripting and programming languages
    • Experience working with:
    • Logs and investigating incidents in the system
    • Test documentation (test plans, test cases, etc.)
    • Logs & metrics (DataDog, Sentry, etc.)
    • Problem-solving and effective communication
    • Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and systems
    • Able to organize yourself and work remotely
    • Ability to communicate fully in English (reading, writing, and verbally)
    • Ability to meet deadlines and shifting priorities
    • Resourceful, enthusiastic and self-motivated

    • Would Be a Plus:
    • Experience in production support
    • Work experience with startups (especially e-Commerce startups)
    • Experience with MongoDB & PostgreSQL
    • Experience with analyzing and testing data
