What you'll be doing

    • Design, architect, and maintain a data warehouse that supports analytical needs for a rapidly evolving product, in partnership with engineering, product, marketing, risk, and finance teams.
    • Play a key role in building an efficient and scalable data engineering codebase and reporting layer for SeedFi.
    • Build and scale data pipelines to enrich our Postgres data warehouse.  
    • Set up tools and processes for effective data management and drive data quality across data in the data warehouse.
    • Own the design, development, maintenance, and distribution of key data and business metrics and reports.
    • Collaborating with backend developers, designers and product managers on a full-stack team to develop new features and products.

What we're looking for

    • 4+ years of hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries on large data sets in a data warehousing environment.
    • Experience working with datasets/dataframes in Python.
    • Experience with columnar database table design and building data pipelines (Redshift and/or Snowflake).  
    • Experience with building data pipelines with task orchestrators such as Airflow/Google Dataflow/Luigi etc.
    • Preferably, some financial services experience.
    • You might have experience with Typescript, Node.js, Postgres, Redis, AWS, Docker, or Terraform.  None of these are a requirement, they're just nice-to-haves.

We have offices in San Francisco and New York.  We have started to reintegrate in-office time into our working routines with a long-term vision of creating a hybrid working environment that mixes in-office and remote time. Our goal is to utilize in-office time to effectively collaborate on complex projects and problems, build relationships across the organization, and engage in social activities.  We also want to embrace the efficiency and effectiveness we have experienced over the last year and a half in getting individual contributor work done remotely.
