Role:
Simpl is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead Payments Product for their Checkout Business. This charter is responsible for rolling out innovative features, functionality and payment options on Convenience, Affordability, Experience and Better payment margin themes for both merchants and users while ensuring best in the market payment level SRs and Conversion efficiency. To do this, you will be required to define models and frameworks based on permutation of Category, Merchant, AOV, Payment method, Geography etc.This role directly impacts the conversion funnel and TPV.

Responsibilities
1) Product Strategy and vision
a) Define a clear and compelling payments product strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives
b) Develop a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product direction
c) Create and communicate a long-term product vision that drives innovation and differentiation in the payments space

2) Product Development
a) Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of payment solutions
b) Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize, plan, and execute the product roadmap
c) Define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and improvements based on customer feedback, data analysis, and market insights

3) Market Research and Analysis
a) Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities in the payments ecosystem
b) Analyze customer behavior, transaction data, and user feedback to make informed decisions and iterate on product features

4) Stakeholder Management
a) Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, marketing, customer support, and partners, to gather insights and ensure alignment on product goals
b) Represent the payments product portfolio in various forums, such as executive meetings, customer presentations, and industry events

5) Product Performance and Optimisation
a) Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the payments product portfolio and monitor ongoing performance against these metrics
b) Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities for optimization, feature enhancements, and user experience improvements

6) Regulatory and Compliance
a) Stay up-to-date with relevant payment industry regulations, compliance requirements, and security standards to ensure product offerings are compliant and secure

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree; MBA or equivalent is a plus but not mandatory
- Proven track record of 6 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years of focused work on consumer facing payments or financial technology products
- Strong understanding of the payments landscape, including payment methods, processing, fraud prevention, and security
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong team collaboration abilities
-Have launched products from scratch and scaled them
-Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
