Additionally, we’re backed by some of the most revered investors in the consumer goods space.

We’re a lean team that’s expanding quickly, and we’re looking for someone who believes in our vision to shift the way people experience scents.

The Role:

Operations is the foundation of Snif’s ability to create, deliver, and support a high-end product and customer experience. As the Supply Chain and Operations Manager, you’ll support the strategy, execution, and performance of the operations team’s function, which starts from when our products are manufactured and ends when they’re in our customers’ hands. This includes demand planning, all physical product production (procurement, supply chain, freight and logistics), and warehousing and fulfillment operations (inventory, outbound shipping, reverse logistics).

The core metrics you care about include demand and actual sales forecasts, inventory, on-time delivery, and the unit economics of each individual order (fulfillment costs, returns cost). 

The individual we are looking for can do it all, which means executing business processes at their most granular levels and interfacing with vendor partners that help bring our products to life. At the same time, this individual is a self-starter and strategist with the ability to set long-term objectives and think critically about how we continue to deliver quality products and services efficiently.

This role will report to our Director of Operations and will work closely with our CX, Product Development, Marketing, and Creative teams.

While we are based in New York City, we operate as a fully remote team. Job may require travel ~10-15% of the time depending on business needs and event calendars.

What You'll Do:

    • Demand Planning
    • Support our Director of Operations in forecasting for upcoming launches and restocks, so that we are properly stocked on products our customers love to smell
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve on cost and efficiency without sacrificing on our Snif quality standards

    • Procurement and Purchasing
    • Foster trusting, communicative relationships with our third-party vendors
    • Own purchasing and procurement of our componentry and packaging materials
    • Track purchase orders and reconcile invoices
    • Work closely with our Creative and Marketing teams to ensure that they have product samples in a timely manner to make their efforts a success

    • Supply Chain and Freight
    • Own our overall shipping network, consistently looking for ways to optimize
    • Coordinate shipments throughout the production life cycle - includes materials to our contract manufacturers, and finished goods to our warehouse and retail partners

    • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels across our DTC and retail channels
    • Own creation of SKUs, UPCs, Bill of Materials, and Standard Operating Procedures so that each part of the operational process is seamless for our team and vendors
    • Develop and maintain a robust inventory management system tapping into existing vendor data and bringing a fresh, detailed eye to our existing process

    • Fulfillment and Warehousing
    • Become a master of our retail fulfillment processes, working alongside our Ulta, Urban Outfitters, and Amazon partners to execute newness and monitor inventory
    • Periodically review on order within our shared systems to ensure orders arrive on time

What You'll Bring:

    • 2-4 years of experience in a data-forward support role, manufacturing or the like is preferred; relevant experience in an e-commerce/DTC/beauty retailer environment is a major plus
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and Google Suite
    • Experience with 3PL, shipping retail, and e-commerce management platforms
    • You have exceptional management and organizational skills
    • You have an eagerness to roll-up your sleeves with a “figure it out” mentality
    • You possess strength and rigor in navigating ambiguity.
    • You’re a self-starter and a team player
    • For you, there is no problem too big; you have an ability to breakdown complex problems or processes into small parts and understand them at a fundamental level
    • You have an insane attention to detail
    • You are data-driven, and have the ability to translate data into simple, real-world outcomes and goals
    • You are personable and have the ability to develop and maintain real, trusting relationships with our vendors
    • You are curious and innovative; You’re constantly seeking ways to make a product or process the best it can be
    • You want (perhaps even need) the excitement, grind, and freedom that comes with an early stage and fast growing startup

Bonus Points:

    • E-commerce, fragrance/beauty, manufacturing or DTC experience
    • Experience with and knowledge in fragrance, candles, and/or laundry products
