SoundStack is the independent, full-stack technology / services company for podcast and digital audio businesses – enterprise media, networks, hosting platforms, creators, ad tech, and buy-side partners. Our collective experience of having built some of the most foundational platforms in digital audio informs our core belief: when podcasters and broadcasters work with independent tech providers that are free to put the publisher first, instead of a corporate media parent, those publishers run a more successful business overall.

Overview:
Our Marketing team tells the world how SoundStack audio-as-a-service (AaaS) and our subsidiary Live365 are changing the dynamic of how digital audio media is delivered, monetized, and measured. Reporting to the CMO, the Growth Marketer will cover a range of responsibilities to help us achieve that goal. If you’re smart, fun, dedicated, and ready to build on a few years of marketing experience – that ideally includes some ad tech, demand gen, etc. in podcasting/radio – we want to meet you.

Responsibilities

    • Own and expand SEO – including plan, site content, keywords, backlinks, reporting, etc
    • Create demand gen content like articles, blogs, case studies, infographics, data reports, and more
    • Create materials to enable business development team – decks, onesheets, videos, etc.
    • Collaborate with the team on strategy and the development of new initiatives/pieces
    • Help manage social media calendar, create posts; develop new channels
    • Field marketing – help manage events (eg, Podcast Movement, NAB, Advertising Week, and more)
    • Create campaigns and landing pages in CRM/email platform, as well as ad platforms (Google, LinkedIn, etc.), and manage them end-to-end
    • Further develop website ideas, including copy, for new sections
    • Compile reports and retrospectives on campaign performances
    • Serve both the SoundStack and Live365 sides of the business

What you have

    • 3-4 years experience in marketing, ideally in media/ad tech/SaaS, with particular expertise in SEO/SEM
    • Bachelor’s degree (which does not necessarily have to be in marketing)
    • Foundational understanding of the audio segment (podcasting, streaming radio)
    • Great spirit with a desire to learn and build on your expertise
    • Great writing skills
    • Solid understanding of demand gen strategies and tactics, including:
    • SEO/SEM
    • Content development 
    • Sourcing prospects
    • Ad buying, management, and optimization
