The Refuge Clinic is looking for a full-time licensed Counselor with leadership experience to serve as the full-time Spiritual & Mental Health Care Coordinator.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- To invest in the spiritual and mental health development of patients and volunteers through pastoral care, counseling, mentoring, discipleship and other relational opportunities.
- Identify, recruit, train and oversee leaders for the Spiritual & Mental Health Care Team.
- Create intentional pathways for patients to grow in spiritual health.
- Encourage patients in finding Christ, growing in Him, baptism, discipleship, discovering their calling and responding in service.
General Responsibilities Include:
- Champion the development of a team of volunteer leaders to help with spiritual assessments, creating community, discipling others, and the execution of events and community groups.
- Work collaboratively with the Mental Health Director to create and implement spiritual and mental health development strategy for Refuge Clinic patients, volunteers and staff.
- Maintain discipleship and leadership development as a continued top priority.
- Provide counseling services for patients.
- Manage and oversee counseling practicums and rotations with partnering universities, equipping students with positive experiences and professional development.
- Connect patients to counseling and mental health resources as appropriate.
- Assess the needs of patients and create opportunities for a healthy community.
- Connect patients to a church home where they can continue to learn and grow in their spiritual walk.
- Build partnerships as appropriate with other Church bodies within the community.
- Connect patients to social services; working in conjunction with the Patient and Community Advocate.
- Conduct pastoral care for patients and volunteers.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ministry Experience preferred
