The Role
In this role, you will be one of the early engineers on the team to bring the quality of our software to a whole new level. You will coordinate in ensuring all the bugs that could possibly be caught automatically are caught. You will work across frameworks and platforms to create a next-gen QA pipeline. You will coordinate setting up the infrastructure and best practices for writing tests for the rest of the R&D organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing to reduce manual effort and increase release confidence.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product managers to create detailed test strategies, plans, and cases for complex, business-critical features.
- Own end-to-end quality of features across pods/modules, including test data management and integration testing for third-party services.
- Contribute towards CI/CD improvements by integrating automated tests into pipelines and monitoring flakiness/reliability of runs.
- Mentor and guide junior SDETs in automation best practices, debugging, and product understanding.
- Actively identify gaps in process or coverage and propose improvements to speed up delivery and reduce customer-reported bugs.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in Quality Assurance Engineering, preferably in product-based or SaaS companies.
- Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python, with experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, PyTest).
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, integration, regression, performance, contract testing).
- Experience working with APIs, GraphQL, or microservices architectures.
- Ability to work across teams, communicate technical details effectively, and influence design/architecture decisions.
- Nice to have
- Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., Locust, JMeter, k6).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar.
- Familiarity with containerisation & cloud services (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Prior experience in mentoring/junior team members.
