The StubHub Finance team is looking for a highly motivated individual with entry-level accounting experience. Ideal candidates will have a minimum or two years of Indirect Tax experience. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic organization.
The StubHub Tax team is responsible for filing timely returns, month end close activities including tax accruals and tax account reconciliations, supporting various tax audits, coordinating tax payments, and ensuring tax compliance requirements are met. The successful candidate will find him/herself surrounded by sharp professionals with diverse backgrounds, operating in a fast-paced, intellectual, and team-oriented environment. The position will report to the StubHub Director of Tax, Treasury, Finance Integration.  

This is a hybrid work opportunity located in New York, NY. We have a 3-day in-office and 2-day remote schedule.

What You'll Do

    • Timely filing of Global Indirect Tax Returns (Sales and Use, Gross Receipts, etc.)
    • Development of internal database of tax policies
    • Independently to spearhead new projects, while also running and improving recurring functions
    • Research and communicate analysis of risks and opportunities as the Global tax landscape continues to change
    • Support the month-end close process by booking tax accruals, performing fluctuation analyses on account balances, and preparing key account reconciliations 
    • Coordinate tax payments to various governmental entities
    • Document and help develop processes and assist with projects to improve performance and efficiencies 
    • Lead coordination and support for external audits, including general ledger extracts, variance analyses 
    • Work in a cross functional role spanning Finance, Accounting, MP Businesses, IT, and the Management Reporting group 
    • Help identify, lead or support, and implement continuous improvement initiatives for various processes including the month-end close, reporting, data gathering, and analysis 
    • Support new business initiatives through identification of tax requirements and ensure implementation of tax controls and process and system solutions 

Who You Are

    • Minimum 5 years indirect tax experience
    • CPA preferred
    • NetSuite ERP experience preferable
    • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work successfully with teams across the organization; experience influencing and leveraging the skills of yourself and others to achieve objectives
    • Precise and detail oriented with strong analytical skills
    • Problem solving, issue-resolution skills, ability to work in a cross functional work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task are essential
    • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment; strong bias for action and value adds, coupled with excellent judgment
    • Hands-on team player with willingness to pitch in where necessary
    • Strong Excel skills preferred

$176,700 - $205,300 a year
The anticipated gross base annual salary range for this role is $176,700 – $205,300 per year. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
