This hybrid work role is in our New York office at 3 WTC. It has a 3-day in-office and 2-day remote schedule.

What You'll Do

    • You will spearhead our global tax domain, overseeing all projects originating from it.
    • You will leverage your expertise in indirect tax to construct robust solutions.
    • Your daily responsibilities involve leading tax solution implementation projects, investigating intricacies related to financial tax data, and creating reports, reconciliations, analyses, and alerts to prevent any overlooked errors.
    • You will collaborate with the downstream Finance tax team to gather requirements and partner with the upstream engineering team to develop the appropriate solution. Additionally, you will assume full ownership of tasks and projects, ensuring thorough User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
    • Your primary objective is to achieve 100% tax compliance in our codes, general ledger, and the reports submitted to Finance.
    • Essential skills for success in this role include ownership, proactivity, responsibility, effective communication, thinking outside the box while adhering to rules, and strategic product leadership.

What You've Done

    • 1-2 years of experience in an analyst role, specializing in working with financial data in the indirect tax field.
    • Proficiently grasp the intricacies of marketplace data and effectively apply that knowledge to achieve full tax compliance.
    • Have a product-centric mindset and design solutions towards tax compliance.
    • Led initiatives focused on implementing in-house tax solutions.
    • Proven leadership in cross-functional projects, taking ownership of complex problem areas, exhibiting confidence in end-to-end project delivery, and demonstrating strong project management expertise.
    • Proficient in SQL and Excel, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles and basic indirect tax requirements.
    • Deliver results under pressure when necessary while maintaining a positive mindset.

$120,000 - $140,000 a year
The anticipated annual salary range for this role is $120,000 – $140,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which also includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
