Our Business Development team is looking for a skilled data analyst with experience and/or interest in dynamic ticket pricing for live events. Our team develops partnerships across the live events value chain with sports teams, leagues, concert promoters, festival organizers, and other rights holders and venues. This person will play a critical role on the team, using historical data and market trends in conjunction with knowledge of consumer behavior, live events, and ticket marketplaces to help StubHub’s partners optimize yield.  

What You'll Do

    • Setting and evaluating ticket pricing and distribution strategies across a range of live event types to maximize yield while managing risk 
    • Analyzing vast historical datasets to build sophisticated dynamic pricing models 
    • Monitoring trends in live events, yield, ticket marketplaces, and consumer behavior to inform pricing strategies 
    • Using in-house and third-party tools to distribute tickets in accordance with defined pricing strategies and broader business objectives 
    • Forecasting changes in yield in response to changes in pricing, supply, demand, distribution channels, or other factors 
    • Tracking yield performance, defining key metrics, and preparing periodic reports for leadership  
    • Collaborating with analytics, engineering, and data science teams to refine pricing and distribution tools 

Who You Are

    • 7-12 years of related work experience
    • Successful track record in pricing or a similar quantitative field, with a preference for candidates with demonstrated experience pricing and distributing live events tickets 
    • Extensive experience in data analysis, yield forecasting, and quantitative modeling  
    • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel 
    • Deep familiarity with the US sports landscape and knowledge of the live events ecosystem  
    • Basic understanding of statistics and predictive analytics

    • This role will be based in our Los Angeles, CA, office and has a hybrid (3 in-person days per week) work schedule. Candidates with a strong preference for our New York, NY, office location may also be considered.
$233,550 - $252,500 a year
The anticipated gross base annual salary range for this role is $233,550 – $252,500 per year. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
