Position Summary:
Swiftly is searching for a software engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset to help us onboard and service our client base to Swiftly’s platform.  Successful candidates will bring strong backend software development background, a track record of working on integration/onboarding projects in an enterprise environment, and good interpersonal and organizational skillsets. 

Responsibilities Include:

    • Architect, design, and implement backend services to support a rich ecosystem of APIs used by mobile and web clients
    • Automate manual processes to streamline app delivery end to end
    • Manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements
    • Configure, build, test, and deploy integration software solutions
    • Collaborate with solutions engineers and technical program managers to write technical design proposals and participate in and/or oversee code reviews
    • Write scalable tests, release plans, and end-user documentation to support our fast-growing organization
    • Resolve (diagnose, track, and manage) software integration issues
    • Deliver technical improvements and bug fixes 
    • Work closely with the internal support team and business users to understand the business requirements
    • Provide recommendations for standard methodologies pertaining to integration design and development
    • Other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

    • Hands-on experience writing and maintaining Kotlin microservices 
    • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks 
    • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies 
    • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years experience in enterprise backend Java development

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Mix of startup and large software company experience
    • Experience working with brick and mortar retail environments 
$125,000 - $145,000 a year
The salary range is based on the candidates experience as it relates to the role.
