Position Summary:
Swiftly is searching for an experienced Director of Retail Sales for its Audience Optimizer solution. This position will afford the right candidate the opportunity to play a formative role in an important evolution of Swiftly’s sales organization and this new, rapidly growing solution.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and maintain long term strategic relationships with assigned retail prospects and key customers; establishing a sustainable platform for continued sales growth and solution expansion with Swiftly’s clients
- Achieve quarterly revenue goals by executing signed contracts of digital ads technology products to retailers with a heavy focus on Swiftly’s Audience Optimizer solution
- Lead the strategy and sales of multi-channel digital campaigns, including paid and organic search, social media across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and emerging channels such as TikTok
- Lead the preparation of strategic plans, encompassing digital sales and marketing activities, using both first-party and third-party shopper and retail data to maximize opportunities and revenue potential
- Collaborate with the Account Management team to secure client renewals and identify opportunities for new or incremental business, underpinning client retention and growth strategies
- Identify key decision‐makers and develop action plans to deepen client relationships
- Develop an intimate understanding of Swiftly’s business and our clients using a variety of sources
- Lead and execute annual digital marketing planning and joint business planning with assigned Audience Optimizer retailers
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to execute strategic, integrated media programs that will deliver effective and renewable results
- Manage and ensure forecast accuracy in Salesforce for current and new retail accounts
- Other related duties assigned
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of experience selling consultative digital marketing, with extensive expertise in developing media plans, managing multifaceted digital advertising campaigns, and advising and executing detailed optimization recommendations
- A proven history of developing relationships from both warm leads and expanding your own network
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation experience
- A strong understanding of the grocery retail ecosystem and how it operates; additional industries are a plus
- Extensive prior exposure to supporting and working with executive senior management
- Strong listening, questioning and negotiation skills ‐ outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Disciplined time management and ability to work under pressure in a cross functional environment
- Excellent proposal writing and presenting, project management and analytical skills
- Advanced computer software proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Salesforce)
- Proficient in the latest digital advertising platforms and analytics tools, with an emphasis on programmatic advertising and performance metrics analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- A background in retail media sales
- Advanced degree in a relevant discipline
$140,000 - $155,000 a year
The salary range is based on the candidates experience as it relates to the role.
