This position involves helping Thuuz Operations team maintain and improve our internal and external sports services and platforms. Work would include keeping our schedule of production games and making adjustments that will inform our algorithms for highlights across a variety of sports and leagues. Individuals will also get to experience first hand working in an Agile Scrum development framework, in addition to working with mobile app development and automated highlight creation.
This work would be hourly, with options to work 20-40 hours a week depending upon the intern's schedule and availability.This is a great opportunity for sports fans who already enjoy actively watching sports and want to get exposure to working for a fast-growing technology startup.
Position will be located in Palo Alto, CA (no remote candidates please)
--Ability to provide feedback on overall highlight quality
--Ability to turn feedback into improvements in our highlight platform
--Create and upkeep operational runbooks
--Manage events database
--Assist in managing external resources and helping to align and confirm live event coverage
--Provide feedback on how to improve Thuuz internal tools and processes
--QA testing of mobile and highlight platforms
--Knowledge of the rules for a number of sports including: soccer, baseball, basketball, football, hockey, tennis, cricket, rugby, and/or esports is a plus
--Ability to identify key themes and game situations that should be highlighted in event headlines
--Knowledge of key sports trends and stories to highlight in pregame headlines
--Attention to detail and ability to quickly learn software tools
--Familiarity with database entry and modification
--Ability to make quick evaluations and decisions in a real-time setting
--Solid computer and technical background, working knowledge of Mac OS a plus.
--Reliable, motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
--A strong ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
