As an Engineering Manager you will play a critical role in the continued growth and success of Topia. You will lead a team of software engineers, partnering closely with the Product organization, to deliver the solutions that enable employees of the world’s biggest and fastest growing companies to work everywhere.

Responsibilities
• Build and manage strong relationships with various stakeholders to understand the stakeholders’ objectives to meet engineering goals.
• Collaborate with respective teams to prioritize and plan on ways to meet business objectives.
• Ensure that all escalated issues are handled effectively within the agreed SLA’s.
• Own product(s) from a technological perspective, and focus on quality delivery.
• Maintain the technical understanding and in-depth knowledge of the product in order to report and analyze the relevant performance metrics.
• Identify, evaluate and solution with a sense of urgency both proactively and reactively. Know when escalation is necessary, but also resolve issues independently.
• Lead continuous product and delivery performance improvements by ensuring processes and procedures are followed, and regularly reviewed to identify opportunities/risks.
• Support and Lead the team’s performance on an ongoing basis and to meet goals against the agreed roadmap.
• Drive the Personal Development Plan (PDP) for each team member, and ensure the team is appropriately resourced.
• Provide opportunities for growth, coaching and/or mentoring for team members.
• Effectively onboard new joiners in the team and facilitate change management within the team.
• Be on top of the relevant and current technology stack whilst staying on the forefront of industry innovation.
• Focus on having the right person in every seat. Set OKRs, have meaningful Conversations, fairly manage skill gaps and improvement areas, and recognize strong performance and achievements.   
• Use personalized strategies to ensure an engaged and happy team that delivers on business objectives.

About You
• You have extensive experience in leading software engineering team(s).
• Hands-on advanced programming experience in Java, SQL Javascript/Typescript.
• In-depth understanding of development techniques, principles, and design principles.
• You own excellent understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies.
• Proven experience working in Scrum teams with driven sprint cycles.
• Proven product/project delivery and stakeholder management experience.
• People-focused leader with strong technical aptitude - someone who can develop others but be hands-on when needed.
• Able to build and execute strategies which are commercially focused.
• Outstanding communication skills. Knows what, when, and how to communicate - and does it up, down, and across the organization.
• Extreme accountability and ownership with excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with team and stakeholders.
• You are passionate about people management and leadership.
• Qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent is a plus.

About the Team
We are an agile team working in biweekly sprint release cycles. The engineering team is divided into product verticals. You will be aligned to one of the teams but will gain exposure to all of the products.

We have a very open environment and all ideas and feedback are welcomed. We have plenty of opportunities for this via project kick-off and round table sessions, regular reviews, retrospectives, tech discussions and debates. One of our values is Learn Relentlessly. To help accelerate learning, we frequently hold drop-in sessions, lunch and learns and occasionally you may be working on proof of concepts to bring in new ideas or technologies.
€55,000 - €75,000 a year

Base compensation ranges are intentionally broad to cover a variety of levels and locations. Position within the range will be determined by location, experience, and skill set. Employees at all levels and locations are also eligible to participate in our corporate bonus plan with an annual bonus target percentage and to receive stock options. These amounts are not included in the above listed base compensation range. Full and part-time employees based in the Estonia are entitled to the below benefits:
