the People Operations Generalist’s primary responsibility is supporting day-to-day People & Culture operations. This role focuses on employee lifecycle administration, data integrity, compliance, and employee support. The People Operations Generalist also helps coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including planning and promoting internal events, while ensuring all communication aligns with the organization’s branded messaging.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Employee Lifecycle Support:
    • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire documentation, employee file creation, and systems access coordination 
    • Maintain accurate records of employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, leaves, and terminations
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding general policies, benefits, leave procedures, and other HR-related topics

    • Compliance:
    • Ensure employee records are maintained in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
    • Help monitor adherence to internal HR policies and assist in updating SOPs and policy documents
    • Support the coordination of annual audits by preparing the required documentation 
    • Help monitor compliance with employment law and human resource best practices

    • HR Systems and Reporting:
    • Perform data entry and maintenance in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP), ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
    • Generate standard and ad-hoc reports to support planning, tracking, and analysis
    • Provide basic troubleshooting support for HR systems and escalate technical issues when necessary
    • Participate in testing and validation for HRIS updates and system changes
    • Assist in the development, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of workflow tools and automation platforms (e.g., Pipefy) to improve processes and employee experience


    • Employee Engagement & Events
    • Support the planning, and administration of employee engagement activities, including team-building events, recognition programs, and company-wide celebrations
    • Draft internal communications related to engagement programs, ensuring alignment with the organization’s tone and branding as guided by People and Culture Senior Leadership
    • Gather feedback post-event and contribute ideas for continuous improvement

    • General Support:
    • Provide administrative and logistical support for People & Culture projects
    • Collaborate across departments to help strengthen the employee experience and ensure consistent practices
    • Support other People Operations functional administration tasks as needed, including coordination for audits, documentation, or engagement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
    • 2–4 years of experience in a Human Resources support or coordinator-level role
    • Working knowledge of employment law, human resource best practices, and regulatory compliance
    • Experience working with an HRIS platform; ADP Workforce Now 
    • Experience coordinating internal events and drafting employee-facing communications
    • Understanding of internal branding and messaging consistency
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize
    • Familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as Pipefy is a plus

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be expected to work in or around computers and printers.
    • The nature of the work is sedentary, and the employee will be sitting most of the time.
    • Essential physical functions of the job include typing and the repetitive motion to utilize computer software and hardware continuously throughout the day.
    • Essential mental functions of this position include concentrating on analytical tasks, reading information, and verbal/written communication to others continuously throughout the day.
