Trilogy Federal is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading initiatives to analyze business needs, design solutions, and improve operations by collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing projects, and mentoring junior analysts. This role requires a strategic thinking leader with a deep understanding of business processes, data analysis, and technology solutions.
The successful candidate will have experience using data to provide cost-benefit analyses, preparing detailed reports, overseeing the project lifecycle (from requirements to implementation), and using data analysis tools to identify trends and help inform strategic decisions. The successful candidate should have experience working in the HR-PAS and/or Data Warehouse(DW) systems.
Please note this position is contingent upon award (Q3/Q4 2025).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assume leadership role to own strategic analysis of assigned systems
- Understand VA business processes and mentor junior analysts
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements
- Develop and document business processes and workflows
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
- Recommend and implement technology solutions to meet business objectives
- Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure successful implementation of solutions
- Provide training and support to end-users
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices
- Strong leadership and project management skills

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cost Accounting or related scientific or technical discipline (Can be substituted with 8 years of additional relevant experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or related role
- Proven track record of leading and managing complex projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
- Familiarity with VA security standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST, HIPAA) and the VIP Lean-Agile framework is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint) and VA-approved tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, ServiceNow).
- Ability to adapt to evolving technical requirements and travel occasionally to VA sites in Washington, D.C., as needed.
- Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance

$85,000 - $90,000 a year
This range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as Trilogy Federal conducts an individual equity review for every candidate based on experience, location, education, industry experience, and comparisons to internal pay bands.
