Ubiminds is assisting Panopto, a pioneer in video platforms that helps businesses and universities improve the way that they train, teach, and share knowledge. More than 1,500 companies and universities worldwide with over 10 million end users have adopted Panopto's video management system and has become the largest repository of expert learning videos in the world.
Challenge
As a Frontend Developer, you will join the UXE Team, which owns the video content management system used by the 10+ million end users of Panopto. This spans the VCMS, players, editor, and mobile app interfaces that the team owns and maintains.
What you'll do
• Build the new UI and update legacy UI in React, using modern web development patterns.
• Design the frontend architecture that will support the user interfaces through their next stage of evolution.
• Code and do technical designs in high-scale systems.
• Work on a rapidly evolving system loaded with interesting challenges and complex problems.
In order to succeed in this position, you will need:
Mandatory skills
• Advanced/fluent English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Javascript and/or Typescript, React, and consuming REST APIs in frontend client code.
• Experience with AWS.
Nice-to-have
• Experience with mobile development in React Native or native code.
Non-technical skills
• Passion to solve technical challenges, with a strong attention to detail and desire to get to the bottom of how things work, focused on ensuring an excellent customer experience.
• Willingness to work across the technical stacks.
• A love for learning and a desire to grow and to help improve the team around you.
