About this role
As the Southeast Operations Lead for Waymark, you will hire, develop, and supervise our community based teams. You are an operator, helping ensure that our patient facing teams meet the highest standards of care access, coordination, and quality for patients with Medicaid benefits in local communities. You will be the main point of contact for key stakeholders in the market, responsible for gathering feedback and relaying on-the-ground challenges to our Lean process and quality leaders at the national level, to strategize and improve our services.


    • Hire and supervise the training and management of community-based teams (some of whom are embedded in primary care practices) in specific geographic areas within the region.
    • Partner with the Waymark clinical team to streamline, refine, and deploy clinical workflows used by the field teams to assist patients with Medicaid benefits, and work to optimize the impact of those activities.
    • Set and track performance goals, reporting on operational performance within your market and adapt market activities to maximize impact against patient access, cost, and quality metrics.
    • Partner with the Waymark implementation team to ensure alignment between market-level priorities and the field team’s priority setting and metrics of success.
    • Coordinate and reach out to stakeholders within the market to solicit feedback and optimize their experience with Waymark services.

Required Qualifications

    • 10+ years of related experience working in operations leadership role, building and supervising teams of community health workers and/or multidisciplinary care teams with an outpatient/primary care, integrated behavioral health, and/or whole-person care focus.
    • A strong leader and manager, with cultural and personal humility. 
    • Track record of successfully using data analytics to track and hit goals.
    • Ability to travel to local markets to help establish new teams and support existing teams and provide on the ground service to stakeholders in the community.
    • Track record of establishing relationships across community-based organizations, advocacy groups, and healthcare providers.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Deep history of relationships in community organizing, hiring, training, and retaining employees in patient-facing roles in the region.
    • Strong understanding of barriers to healthcare access and quality among diverse, underserved populations.
