We're looking for an Associate Director, Audience Engagement to join XX Artists rapidly growing Brand Services team. As the Associate Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing members of the Audience Engagement team who own always-on community management services across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok for global brand clients. You will report to the Director of Audience Engagement, Brand Services, or their designees, and work in conjunction with XX Artists’ partners teams.
Being able to develop social and community strategies, lead effective campaigns and manage client and brand relations are crucial for success in this role. We’re looking for someone who is passionate and well-versed in the Internet, YouTube, influencer marketing, platform product updates, and algorithms marketing. Equally, we are looking for someone who commands the ability to craft digital strategies rooted in creative narrative and data that drive brand KPIs.
Strong project management skills, direct experience with client communication, and the ability to juggle multiple campaigns in a fast-paced agency environment is required. You must be able to provide thought leadership and perform senior management duties as well as be prepared to work with your teams to deliver tactical executions and deliverables on a quick deadline. Strong copywriting skills, creative delegation, and corporate communications experience are required.
This role functions M-F business hours, in addition to some select evenings and weekends. XX Artists company benefits currently include a competitive health and vision package, 401K matching, and paid time off. Salary range is 105k - 125k for this position. Offer is dependent on level of experience.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of community management, audience engagement, and/or social marketing experience at Senior Manager level or above
Management experience of more than two direct reports
Highly experienced writing for social media, digital video, email, and blogs.
Excellent writing skills that reflect a brand's objectives and current cultural trends.
Extraordinary attention to detail with an ability to quality check and approve written content.
Passion for digital culture and writing online.
A true thought leader in social media audience engagement, community management, and written communication on social media platforms, specifically YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, TikTok. An idea of how to speak directly to these respective audiences.
Professional, personable, and a passion for building lasting relationships with clients.
A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, creative, and social environment.
An aspiring team leader and manager with the ability to inspire creativity and productivity, as well as maintain hyper-organized workflows.
A thought leader that is able to interpret data and identify content and marketing trends to inform strategies and lead teams to continually push creative boundaries.
A proficient Google tools user, including GMail and Google services (Docs, Sheets, etc.).

What You’ll Be Doing
Work with leadership to develop audience engagement strategies and set goals for your clients’ marketing objectives.
Mentor team members and guide them through the daily work and management of clients and partners.
Build audience engagement through always on and/or campaign strategy decks and present to clients, as required in partnership with other department leads.
Manage workflows including new client integrations, campaign development, and management, as well as on-going / day-to-day client services.
Leverage data, insights, trends, and best practices to inform social strategy and copy development for your respective clients.
Support in the development of voice and community playbooks to support client and partner messaging for marketing channels (social, email, product messages, etc.).
Identifying community risks, problematic news and trends, and/or crisis content for escalation to partners and clients.
Keep on the cutting edge of social/digital/emerging media and track trends to identify new, innovative ways to evolve the strategies, grow audiences, drive meaningful conversations, and build communities online.
Ideate strategic partnerships, account expansions, and new client opportunities.
