XX Artists is looking for a Creative Director residing on the West Coast, who can guide and manage a team with multiple specialties for a wide range of clients. This role will focus on leading and mentoring a team of strong creatives, building best-in-class creative services, and being a trusted point of contact for our clients.

We are looking for a hands-on designer, creative storyteller, and natural leader. The ideal candidate is a designer at heart, with a passion for both developing innovative and digital-first creative ideas. The Creative Director will lead specific campaigns within the XX Artists ecosystem and bring its clients to new heights, challenging digital creative norms, embracing emerging trends, and sitting across a diverse client portfolio. 

This role functions M-F business (PST) hours, in addition to some select evenings and weekdays. XX Artists company benefits currently include a competitive health and vision package, 401K matching, and paid time off. Offer is dependent on the level of experience.

What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 6+ years of experience spanning in design, digital creative strategy, advertising, and marketing.
Minimum of 3+ years of leadership and people management experience 
An exceptional, diverse portfolio including visual design and video content creative
An understanding of Adobe CS, After Effects, Figma, and Google Suite programs.
Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills
Ability to lead and inspire others
A digital-first creative who embraces challenges and new methods bringing content and stories to life online via social media and short-form video
Experience working with and presenting to a variety of clients of all levels
Ability to shape ideas, as well as build on the ideas of others
Ability to provide conceptual oversight and clear creative direction, providing timely and helpful feedback which improves creative processes to keep work on budget and schedule
A leader comfortable with ambiguity and the unique ability to hone ideas and concepts to ultimately deliver/achieve core objectives

What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead strategic creative design for need-based client projects, including visual design as well as design elements of video content production
Serve as a counterpart and co-leader to the design production department and ensure the continued growth of the team as it relates to Creative Direction roles
Ensure the highest quality of design work and flow of content production as it relates to client asks
Manage key client relationships and work to deepen their knowledge of (and their brands’ realization of) digital narrative, content creations, and digital visual design
Identify the conceptual and strategic direction for various projects, and clearly presents those ideas to the team, clients, and prospective clients
Manage multiple creative projects spanning a diverse range of campaigns
