We are looking for an Accounting Controller to join our growing team. This person will work closely with our Finance team and will collaborate with both client and internal teams. An ideal candidate has prior experience in demonstrating technical skills in accounting, financial reporting, and effective analytical, planning, and organizational skills.

This role functions M-F business hours, in addition to some select evenings and weekends. You will report to the VP of Finance. XX Artists company benefits currently include a competitive health and vision package, 401K matching, and paid time off.

What We’re Looking For:
-Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience and familiarity with startup accounting practices
-Experience with month-end close procedures with significant revenue recognition & cost accrual schedule, managing large data sets, and preparing financial reports for Parent Co. financial system.
-Ability to manage Quick 5-day close for monthly trial balances for reporting to Parent Co.
-Knowledgeable in QuickBooks Online systems with migration to NetSuite
-Ability to analyze and interact with executive team and stakeholders
-Ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional peer leaders in order to obtain support
for process improvements
-Experience in financial understanding, risk analysis ability, relationship building and
project management.
-Experience in financial reporting and analysis of cash flow management
-Ability to drive solutions to complex planning issues with limited supervision
-Proficient in Google tools including Gmail and Google services (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
-Passport is required

What You’ll Be Doing:
-Produce accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
-Partner with the Finance team to manage all aspects related to the annual audit and tax
reporting.
-Monitor state tax reporting and other required state filings
-Be the owner of the Accounting Software and approve journal entries, bank
reconciliations, and work with the staff to ensure that all monthly reporting requirements
of Parent Co. are prepared timely
-Work with management to establish budget and cash flow forecasts
-Complete monthly financial reporting and forecast reports consistent with Corporate requirements
-Develop forecasting reports related to all areas of expenses analysis
-Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.

Preferred Skills:
-Secondary Education
-6+ years of accounting experience and knowledge of accounting practices
