Position Summary:
Evolution Markets seeks an experienced, ambitious, and hard working individual to join Evolution Markets’ growing team of London brokers serving UK and European natural gas markets and the global liquefied natural gas (LNG) market. Essential Functions

    • Act as broker in the execution of natural gas and LNG futures, forwards, and options transactions, both in a fast-trading capacity and with regard to longer-term structured physical transactions; 
    • Develop strong relationships with natural gas market participants, including producers, utilities, shippers, refiners, marketers, banks, and hedge funds;  
    • Support brokerage desk with trade execution follow-up and administration;  
    • Qualify, build, and maintain a client base of financial and energy customers;  
    • Ensure that all daily trades are entered into required trading systems;  
    • Review daily trade blotters and report information on a daily basis; and  
    • Participate in ad hoc projects assisting the operation and growth of the natural gas brokerage desk.   

Job Requirements

    • 2-5 years of experience in energy commodity or freight financial markets as a broker, trader, trade assistant, marketer, sales manager, or related position.  
    • The ideal candidate will have an interest in and understanding of global natural gas markets, including UK natural gas (NBP), European natural gas (i.e. TTF), physical LNG, and LNG futures (JKM & WIM).  
    • Experience in or knowledge of global LNG shipping or freight markets is a plus.  
    • Experience in or knowledge of energy derivatives (options) markets is a plus.  
    • Candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills, including proficiency with relevant energy commodity trading software and data systems.  
    • Experience with Trade Entry systems is a plus.  
    • Microsoft Excel proficiency required. 
    • A university degree in Business, Engineering or related field is preferred.
