Position Summary:
Xpansiv is seeking a Corporate Accounting Intern or Graduate to join our team. The ideal candidate is results-driven, possesses a strong work ethic, has an aptitude for managing external relationships, and demonstrates the ability to work independently.

As a member of our corporate accounting team, you will have the chance to engage with operational and technical accounting transactions, comprehensive end-to-end accounting processes, IFRS financial reporting, and the complexities of statutory audits. 

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to further your professional development by pursuing prestigious qualifications such as CA or CPA, supported by exceptional mentoring and coaching. This role is ideal for candidates who have recently graduated or are in the process of completing their degree and are looking to pursue CA or CPA qualifications.   

Responsibilities:

    • Participate in end-to-end accounting processes, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial analysis. 
    • Assist in technical accounting transactions, gaining insights into complex financial processes. 
    • Support the preparation of financial statements under IFRS and group consolidated reporting. 
    • Provide assistance during statutory audits, including preparation of documentation and responding to auditor queries. 
    • Collaborate on AFSL compliance reporting and learn about regulatory requirements. 
    • Gain exposure to direct and indirect tax compliance in Australia and globally. 
    • Work on special projects, such as process improvement initiatives or data analysis. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across international locations, enhancing your global perspective 

Skills & Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
    • Strong academic performance and a passion for corporate accounting and finance. 
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to learning. 
    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.  
    • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges. 
    • A strong desire to gain practical, real-world experience in the corporate accounting industry. 
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic environment.

Base Salary
Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. However, compensation in the following region is expected to be as follows:
Sydney: Compensation is expected to be between
$32/hour
