This role will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, including the month-end close, Leased Equipment reconciliation, global deferred revenue analysis, and assisting with local and state tax filings. The role will oversee weekly cash functions, ensuring accurate payment preparation and bank reconciliations. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will prepare general ledger expense analyses, manage expense accruals and provisions, support prepayments reconciliation and amortization, complete journal entries, and Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
Working closely with the Global Finance and Operations team, this role will contribute to implementing process improvements, automation initiatives, and financial compliance efforts, including internal and external audits. The role also involves preparing and reviewing tax filings, as well as supporting the financial close process to meet reporting deadlines. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to enhance.
Your day to day
- Ownership of certain accounting functions (including month-end general ledger close, AP oversight and reconciliation, local and state tax filings, and other activities).
- Prepare GL expense account analysis and monthly expense accruals, and other relevant accounts as part of the month-end close.
- Work closely with the Global Finance and Operations team to manage the month-end and annual close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings such as sales tax, property tax, business tax, business license, and income tax.
- Partner cross-functionally to make improvements across all global accounting processes (automating reconciliations, report preparation, and reviewing accounting transactions).
- Responsible for prepayments & deferred revenue amortization and reconciliation across various legal entities..
- Perform miscellaneous expense accruals, provisions, and cost allocations within NetSuite.
- Perform additional monthly finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned
- Support financial compliance (Internal & External Audit, Controls, and Procedures).
- Support the financial close process in line withthe close schedule & deadlines.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
What you bring
- 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably with some experience within a Big 6 accounting firm background.
- Mix of both operational and technical accounting knowledge with emphasis on operational day-to-day accounting in a multi-state & global environment.
- Ability to understand systems and be able to streamline processes.
- A high level of proficiency with Excel.
- A high level of proficiency with NetSuite (or other ERP system).
- External and/or Internal audit experience.
- US GAAP and FASB regulations knowledge.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to independently and efficiently research.
- Experience working independently within a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to research discrepancies and solve problems.
Your Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting desired
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), actively pursuing CPA licensure or equivalent qualification preferred.

$120,000 - $130,000 a year
