Andreessen Horowitz is a $6.5 billion venture capital firm focused on software and Internet investments.
The firm invests at all stages of company development, with investments ranging in size from $50,000 to
$100 million. Among its investments are Affirm, Airbnb, Altschool, Buzzfeed, Coinbase, Databricks,
DigitalOcean, Gigster, GitHub, Instacart, Lyft, Mixpanel, Onshape, Pinterest, and Slack.

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our finance team in Menlo Park. The Accounting Manager will
report directly to the VP of Finance and will work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller. We
have $6.5 billion under management with 50+ entities on which we currently report. We use enterprise
software (AltaReturn, IPREO, Salesforce) for efficiency and scale.

What you will do:

    • Maintain Partnership’s books and records in financial software system, including:
    • o Generate and follow up on capital calls to investors
      o Facilitate cash flows to and from portfolio companies
      o Assist in cash and stock distributions
      o Prepare financial statements for the limited partnership entities
      o Post and maintain investor portal documents
      o Prepare bank and brokerage account reconciliations
    • Coordinate with portfolio company counsel and internal General Counsel to gather and maintain all funding documents
    • Work in a coordinated manner with the team to complete quarterly financials, the annual audit and tax requirements
    • Maintain current capitalization tables in firm’s tracking software
    • Assist limited partners as requested
    • Prepare ad hoc reports as needed

Preferred background:

    • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in accounting or finance
    • 4+ years of combined public accounting and relevant industry experience, with a good understanding of partnership accounting and venture capital operations
    • You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV accounting software
