A landscaper at the Embarcadero Center will be expected to Build and maintain garden planters, Lawn areas, and other outdoor landscapes at the Center.
Job duties include mowing, edging, fertilizing, weeding, mulching, trimming, planting, watering, and removing unwanted plants. They must also maintenance/repairs on equipment.

Position Summary Details
This position performs routine tasks using standardized procedures specific to the landscape industry. 

 
Essential Functions
Besides landscaping-specific tasks, performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfilment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures Responsible for personnel coaching and disciplining, quality control, monitoring of supply and equipment usage, maintaining a safe work environment and performing special project work 

Responsibilities
Conducts training and development of staff Responsible for trimming/pruning shrubs, ground covers, vines and some trees and palms with hand-held tools and 2-cycle equipment. Performs removal, installation and maintenance of plant material in beds and containers, and manual weeding. Operates machinery for loading, unloading and transporting materials, equipment and supplies. Identifies need for and provide supplemental water with manual operation of automatic irrigation zones and hand watering. Mowing and edging turf with riding mowers and power equipment. Assist in specimen tree relocation, including ball and burlap operation, jetting in, and staking and guying. Performs equipment maintenance as required. Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned. 
Performance & Quality: 
Overseeing day-to-day site operations and delegating work to crew members Maintaining a schedule, and ensuring service expectations are met Identifying more efficient ways to perform work Client Satisfaction: Surfacing client concerns to the Manager and proactively assisting in achieving a resolution Crew Management: Providing the Production Manager with feedback on crew members Assisting the Production Manager in the development and training of crew members Turning in accurate crew time logs Safety: Ensuring all crew members perform their work safely and in accordance with company policies Ensuring equipment is in good working order and receives appropriate preventative maintenance Logging equipment usage and maintenance cycles 
Qualifications
One year of similar experience preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must meet all requirements to receive required badges and seals (if applicable), including successful completion of a background check and ten-year work history

Wage Rate- $22.18
Local 1877 Landscaping Union
$22.18 - $22.18 semi monthly
This hourly rate was decided upon the Landscaping Union 1877 Agreement
