Position Summary Details:

Pay:  $18/HR+
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.   A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Shift: Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Position Overview: 
ABM Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Receiving and Shipping Clerk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within our facility. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

    • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices.
    • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to management.
    • Sort, label, and store items in designated storage areas.
    • Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and creating shipping labels.
    • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
    • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
    • Assist in inventory management activities, including conducting cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
    • Assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
    • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
