Job Description
Summary:
This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and minor repair of a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure the efficient and safe functioning of facility infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on boilers, heater pumps, valves, appurtenances, and lines used in the distribution of steam and heated or processed water.
- Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on refrigerant systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, traps, transfer pumps, expansion valves, stop valves, float valves, and associated refrigerant lines and temperature control devices.
- Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on pumps handling brines or other secondary refrigerating liquids, including associated valves, appurtenances, and lines.
- Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on air compressors, distribution lines, and air control valves and devices.
- Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on water filters, softeners, piping, and pumps used in water distribution systems, including sinks, toilet bowls, supply lines, drains, and control devices.
- Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on electrical motors and engines used to power pumps, compressors, and fans.
- Operate fuel oil systems, including pumps, valves, lines, and controls.
- Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on building automation systems (BAS) for HVAC, including consoles, data gathering panels, remote sensors, and indicating devices.
- Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on sanitary sewer systems, sump pumps, basins, water closets, urinals, and associated piping.
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on air distribution systems.
$40 - $40 a week
