Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will have key responsibilities on the accounting team and will play a crucial role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations.
The Staff Accountant is an internal role that reports directly to the Head of Accounting. We are looking for someone with a passion for accounting and willingness to grow within the department. Ambitious and curious, the ideal candidate will feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment while researching the latest accounting and compliance standards.


    • Ownership of the A/P process; ensuring bill review and coding accuracy including vendor management and account review
    • Process credit card transactions and expense reports
    • Upload bank transactions, responsible for initial draft of monthly bank reconciliations
    • Assist department heads with payroll review and processing
    • Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations; assist with monthly close procedures
    • Assist the Head of Accounting with ad hoc projects as needed

Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Accounting degree preferred
    • 1-3 years of accounting experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookup, IF statements)
    • Experience with GAAP accounting

Preferred Skills and Experience

    • Prior experience in a fast paced, high growth environment
    • Manufacturing and/ or inventory experience
    • CPA or working towards CPA
