Site Operations Manager, Mojave
As a Site Operations Manager located at the Mojave Air and Space Port test site you will be responsible for managing all aspects of non-technical operations. This includes manage employee sustainment, vendors, and general site maintenance and Improvement. In addition, you will work across functions to enforce all environmental, health, and safety, and security policies and procedures. We are looking for a Site Operations Manager, who enjoys solving problems, can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and share our passion for building, testing, and launching rockets.


    • Manage sustainment operations for employees to include coordinating housing, catering, and general site improvements
    • Serve as company liaison with the Mojave Air and Space Port and Air Force Research Laboratory administrators to facilitate daily operations and troubleshoot any site issues
    • Manage vendors who service the site to include waste and restroom services, utilities, and wildlife handlers
    • Ensure test site is compliant with all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures
    • Ensure test site is compliant with Security policies and procedures
    • Schedule preventative maintenance for site equipment


    • 5 + years of administrative or operational support
    • Project management experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office
    • Action oriented with a track record of good judgement
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail


    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Facility maintenance experience
    • Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment
    • Familiarity with the aerospace industry


    • Critical thinking:  ABL employees understand the “why” behind all design decisions, operational events and test outcomes
    • Ability to deal with ambiguity: ABL employees must be comfortable defining their own pathway to an objective
    • End-to end ownership:  Projects are delivered fully complete


    • Ability to operate in extreme weather
    • Ability to pick up 25 pounds
    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
    • Ability to use a computer to complete assignments
    • Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work outside and in an office
