We are looking for our new Backend Engineer for our Analytics team ! The Analytics team is in charge of analyzing and displaying the data collected in our tools to our client. They are responsible for the data collect based on user sessions, the storage, the serving APIs to feed all data based features in the reports displayed to our clients.

In this context, you will be a part of the Analytics Team, besides Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Front-end and Back-End engineer. You will ensure the design, development, industrialization, documentation, support and monitoring of micro services in a big data environment.

The data pipeline is hosted in a GCP environment, using among other technologies, Golang, Pubsub, Dataflow (Beam), Kubernetes, BigQuery and BigTable.

The Backend Engineer refers to the Analytics Team Leader.

Contract & Location

    • Permanent full-time contract
    • Paris or Nantes Office
    • Smooth remote work policy (up to 3 days a week)

What you will do:

    • Think about the architecture of micro service depending on its purpose
    • Participate in features development and bug resolution
    • Work with high load constraints, and fast data deliverability
    • Monitor and keep these services up
    • Technical code reviews of teammates
    • Keeping a constant watch on emerging trends and relevant technological advances
    • Collaborate with internal teams and help them define the architecture of any new project or major update that impacts your scope
    • Evaluate and continuously improve performances, scalability, and security of your features scope
    • Involvement on Data chapter meetings by sharing experiences, proposing and spreading good practices to teammates

What we are looking for:

    • Good knowledge of Golang
    • Knowledge of Java would be appreciated (but not mandatory)
    • Good knowledge of SQL databases and understanding of ETL, data warehouses and NoSQL databases 
    • Knowledge of any queue messaging system (GCP Pubsub, Kafka, SQS, AMQP, RabbitMQ...)
    • You have a good level of English (written and spoken)

    • Experience:
    • 3 years experience as Backend developer
    • At least 1 year with some Big Data constraints
