About The Role

For our new Platform team we are looking for a Technical Lead with a high degree of self-initiative, excellent communication skills and a huge eagerness of taking on responsibility. In this role you actively contribute to maintenance extension of existing systems as well as the implementation of new features. You are the technical contact person for your team members and are in close contact with the Backend team. By taking on responsibility and contributing your own ideas, you will bring our products to the next level while reporting to the Head of Engineering.

What You Will Do - Technical Tasks

    • Continued development of customer facing services to boost the usability and performance of our Platform.
    • Improve our test base (unit, integration, e2e) to increase quality. Validate your own code via unit and end-to-end testing to improve the overall test coverage by following e.g. TDD methods.
    • Design new features and make required changes in the architecture to bring the Abusix products to the next level.
    • Discuss problems in the team to find the best solutions.
    • Review and approve work of other team members in code reviews.

What You Will Do - Lead Tasks

    • Having the bigger picture of the company needs in mind for all decisions made.
    • Technical contact person and mentor for team members.
    • Close exchange with other Tech Leads, Head of Engineering and UX.
    • Motivate the team to perform and successfully accomplish their tasks of the sprint
    • Contribute to a continuous improvement of the development process in the team. Such as
    • Delegate tasks within the sprint.
    • Schedule, organize and lead team meetings (such as dailies, retro, planning, refinement etc.)
    • Monitoring progress.
    • Taking responsibility for team outcome.
    • Concept/write tickets and long-term prioritize backlog.
    • Discuss incoming requirements from external and internal customers within the team to collaborate in the planning of the next sprint(s) and make it more reliable and realistic.
    • 1on1’s for building and maintaining personal interaction with each individual team member, personal development and discussing technical issues.

Your Profile

    • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an agile environment.
    • Deep knowledge of JavaScript, React or similar frameworks, NodeJs, Postgres or other SQL Databases, CSS/HTML, Profiling
    • Eager to take on responsibility, intrinsic motivation and reliability.
    • Not scared to touch existing code.
    • Work independently, but share knowledge and outcome with the team.
    • Ability to work together in critical situations.
    • Strong communication skills and self-organized.
    • Fluent in English.
