About the Role

We are now looking for an experienced sales leader and operator to join us as Managing Director for our North American region.

As the head for this key growth region, you oversee all ground operations (podcaster partnerships, SaaS and ad-sales, and marketing). You will be in charge of budgets, our current three offices, and the execution of the overall business strategy. You are supported by our global teams and C-suite across Sthlm, London, and NYC. 

The role is located in our TriBeCa offices in NYC and reports into the Chief Operating Officer, also conveniently located in NYC. 

Key responsibilities

    • Execute company, sales, content & marketing strategy for each market within the region set by Global Heads of Sales, Content, and Marketing
    • Full P&L & reporting responsibility for all markets within the defined region
    • Responsible for all local staff and office spaces
    • Consistent communication with global strategy leads (Business/Content/Sales/Marketing) for reporting and progress
    • Working with the People team to establish and maintain a healthy, thriving work culture 
    • Support the day-to-day work of Content, Sales, Marketing, Finance, People and Operations teams in all markets
    • Ensure all team members in the region are up to date and connected to the company vision and goals
    • Bring a positive attitude and lots of passion for the medium and the people

You can make spreadsheet models with your eyes closed and use data and a splash of intuition and experience to take action. You are bold and not afraid to make a mistake, learn from it and improve. You enjoy the limelight when necessary to put a friendly face to a press story. The team is the most important to you. 

We believe that you have extensive experience running sales or business development team on the publisher-side, with excellent knowledge of media from both a creative/editorial and commercial side.

You also hold excellent high-level contacts within the advertising and publishing industry from your previous work and are an appreciated co-worker, friend, team player and leader from all your previous employers.
