This is a great opportunity for a talented PR and marketing expert to join our growing team. You will work on consumer and trade PR activities, trade marketing activities, events and social media in the UK market. This role will be based in our Sydney office, and partner with our local podcaster relations and sales teams as a member of the global communications and marketing team. This person needs to be passionate about podcasts, have a strong grasp of the podcast space and be able to juggle multiple projects at once. The role would suit an agency account handler looking to take the next step in their career in-house, or an in-house PR person looking to move up and join a thriving, fast-moving industry.

Responsibilities include:


    • Create and maintain relationships with relevant influencers, journalists, bloggers and digital community leaders
    • Support our network of podcasters with press coverage for them and their content
    • Maintain strong relationships with the relevant trade media to ensure Acast is top of mind for media coverage
    • Monitor press stories relating to the company and its brand and competitors maximising opportunities for positive PR
    • Remain current on PR and relevant industries news and trends
    • Track and analyse PR metrics and success
    • Ensure timely follow-up for press inquiries and interview requests
    • Develop, rewrite, and edit materials such as press releases, Q&As, briefing documents, fact sheets, bylined articles and presentations
    • Maintain and update PR assets and product information
    • Coordinate press interviews, video shoots and demos with spokespeople


    • Accountable for creating and editing blogs, newsletters, web & social media copy/content and press releases, and other written materials as required
    • Maintain speaking calendar for Acast Aus leadership team
    • Coordinate events and other activations in the Aus/NZ market
    • Manage any relevant Aus/NZ award entries
    • Localise global marketing campaigns for the Aus/NZ market, especially creator marketing campaigns


    • Support the Australian team on executing owned Acast events, both internal and external. Examples could be agency activations, attending trade events, putting together education panels, hosting live podcast events, etc
    • Manage a calendar of events for the Aus team to sponsor or speak at and facilitate process of participating in those events

Skills and experience required:

    • Public Relations experience - in-house or agency, minimum four years
    • Previous experience writing and pitching press releases and data-led stories to media
    • Candidate must be conversant in digital and social media
    • First class communication, interpersonal and multitasking skills
    • Candidate must work well both independently and as part of a team, and has natural affinity for streaming media, podcasting, audio, and tech
    • Well-developed and well-maintained media relationships
    • Must have fantastic organisational skills and an innate ability to stay on top of multiple projects at once
    • Must have very strong project management and decision-making skills
    • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and unstructured, deadline-oriented environment
    • Collaborate with brand, product, community and social media teams on product launches and marketing campaigns
    • Ability to work as part of a global team
