Position Overview:

We are seeking an Engineering Manager, eCommerce to serve a crucial role in evolving our flagship Passport eCommerce online ticketing system.​ As part of our accesso® Ticketing Group, you’ll contribute to helping our clients sell more tickets, streamline operations, drive revenue and improve the guest experience. Our ticketing solutions allow our clients to sell general admissions, reserved seats, time/date specific tickets, season passes, memberships and so much more.  

The Engineering Manager, eCommerce is expected to lead a cross functional team of developers to deliver a world class solution. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hiring, coaching, and guiding best-in-class engineers, while focusing on security, quality, and performance. Extensive experience with developing and leading teams building web applications at scale is key to being successful in this role.

Travel Requirement: Less than 10%

Responsibilities Include:

    • Leading highly talented engineering teams to deliver exceptional eCommerce products
    • Commitment to developing high performance software at scale, and have the experience to back it up
    • Striving for and encouraging software engineering teams to produce the highest quality code
    • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders from Design, Product, and Client Success to deliver key roadmap objectives
    • Monitoring and tracking success of team Sprint dynamics and identify improvements that encourage positive momentum

    • Frontend JavaScript frameworks (Angular, AngularJS, React)
    • Server-side applications (Java, NodeJS, PHP)
    • Unix systems
    • Relational and NoSQL databases
    • Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud)
    • Content Delivery Networks (Cloudflare, AWS Cloudfront)
    • Monitoring & Analytics (New Relic, Google Analytics, Datadog)

Qualifications:

    • 7-10 years of software engineering experience (5+ years web application development in JavaScript, specifically in AngularJS/Angular or similar modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
    • 3+ years of team leadership
    • Experience with internationalized web applications
    • Deep knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodologies
    • Previous experience with eCommerce web development
    • Experience with advanced deployment techniques and monitoring / tracking of high-volume web applications
    • Thrives in high growth, fast-paced environments
