Access Softek is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead the development and architectural evolution of a critical Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) service in our fintech platform.
This service acts as an API Gateway, aggregating data from multiple backend microservices and delivering it to frontend clients (web, mobile, middleware). Built on .NET 8, containerized with Kubernetes (EKS), and fully instrumented with OpenTelemetry and Kibana, it plays a central role in how our users experience the product.

- Collaborate closely with frontend, backend, DevOps, and architecture teams to define and deliver optimal APIs and data flows.
- Drive the modernization of the service architecture, including the deprecation of legacy systems (e.g., Orchard CMS) and a shift toward more modular, REST-first solutions.
- Own production reliability and performance: detect bottlenecks, propose improvements, and lead implementation.
- Ensure sufficient test coverage, clean architecture, and maintainable code using modern engineering practices.
- Contribute to observability and service quality through tracing, logging, and metrics.
- Provide clear documentation for internal consumers and API users.
- Act as a technical leader, contributing to architectural decisions, mentorship, and technical communication across teams.

- Strong experience with data modeling, MS SQL Server and data access layer optimizations.
- Experience in writing unit and integration tests (using NUnit, xUnit frameworks and FluentAssertions, Moq libraries).
- Expertise with DevOps practices and tools, practical experience with Git.
- Tech lead experience with complex projects, like expertise in refactoring legacy codebases, optimizing process flows, and analyzing and implementing architectural decisions.
- Great communication skills, experience in leading technical discussions.
- Eager to learn and build up new skills.
- Intermediate+ English.
It Would Be Great If You Have
