As a key member of the Accounting Department, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will assist in processing of invoicing and payment including customer follow up and inquiries. They will submit invoices, process payments among several formats, follow up on payments, and answer phone calls and emails for Accounts Receivable. They will support the Accounting Team with data analysis, database management, and other tasks as needed.

Applicant should display ability to work quickly and accurately while displaying a high degree of professionalism with a positive and proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, Excel experience, and the ability to multitask and adapt in a changing professional environment.

Responsibilities

    • Payment Processing:
    • Process and post payments from clients in various formats
    • Reconcile daily cash balances
    • Process returned payments and chargebacks
    • Work as primary user in BillTrust for cash application
    • Coordinate with front desk staff on checks received in office

    • Client Management:
    • Primary user in Accounts Receivable related inboxes for response to clients and internal stakeholders
    • Answer/receive calls for Accounts Receivable related phone lines
    • Answer voicemails and return phone calls for Accounts Receivable related phone lines

    • Invoicing/Credits:
    • Distribute first level invoices for clients that require minimal customization
    • Provide back up coverage for second level invoicing as needed for AR Specialists
    • Review and process errors
    • Distribute credit memos as needed to clients

    • Other Duties:
    • Coordinate with global teams where needed
    • Provide coverage for global teams where needed for holidays and out of office
    • Manage transactions in multiple currencies
    • Coordinate with supervisor to send accounts to collection
    • Assist with ad hoc reporting requests
    • Assist the Accounting Department as needed

Qualifications

    • 2 year associate degree
    • 1 year experience in Accounts Receivable (or related field) preferred but not required
    • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • NetSuite experience (preferred but not required)
    • Salesforce experience (preferred but not required)
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Highly motivated self-starter with analytical skills
    • Good communication skills (oral and written)
    • Ability to interact with employees and clients in a professional manner
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
    • Ability to meet deadlines and follow up on pending issues
    • Ability to work in a team environment
$21 - $28 an hour
The hourly for this position ranges from $21 - $28. Pay will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education and training.  This position may also be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, commission, or other variable pay plan.
