We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sr Professional, Benefits to join our team in India reporting to Sr Manager, Compensation & Benefits. The Sr Professional, Benefits will be responsible for managing day-to-day tasks related to all aspects of India employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing support and guidance to employees regarding their benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing employee wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries and issues.
- Process enrollment changes monthly.
- Review monthly invoices for accuracy and process accordingly.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to administer benefits programs including monthly wellness webinars and quarterly health check-ups.
- Evaluate existing benefits programs and recommend improvements to ensure competitiveness and alignment with company goals.
- Analyze benefits data to assess program effectiveness and identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on benefits utilization, costs, and employee satisfaction to HR leaders.
- Participate in annual benefit renewal, providing employee data and service feedback.
- Develop and implement a wellness program to improve the health and wellbeing of employees.
- Create and distribute educational materials, conduct workshops, and host informational sessions to ensure employees are well-informed about their benefits, enrollment process and plan changes.
- Develop and update benefits policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Ensure clear documentation and communication of all benefits policies to employees.
- Ensure all benefits programs comply with local laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with Finance and answer questions related to benefit processes, balance in deposit and other related tasks.
- Assist US benefits team with day-to-day/monthly tasks and reporting as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- 2-5 years experience in Benefits administration, or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of benefits administration, systems, and best practices.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent analytical skills, the ability to interpret complex data and recommend data driven actions.
- Proficient Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables.
- Strong understanding of local employment laws and benefit regulations.
- Passionate about employee health and wellbeing.
- Ability to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and a drive delivery & execution.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and employees within India.
- Familiarity with HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
- Must be self-directed and resourceful.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a global organization with team located across multiple countries/time zones.
- Flexible working in 12-9:30pm & 2-11:30 IST timings, preferred.
