We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Specialist, HRIS to join our team in the U.S. as we embark on a global Workday implementation. This position reports to the Sr Manager, Compensation & Benefits. The Specialist, HRIS will play a key role in our implementation. They will serve as the subject matter expert for multiple functional areas, manage day-to-day tasks related to their functional area, and ensure proper documentation and optimal business processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Workday system administration and project management, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a desire to drive functional and organizational impact.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Workday core tenant and business functionality including business processes, custom objects, calculated fields, notifications, testing, reporting, dashboards, data integrity and user training for at least 3 modules.
- Participate in the ongoing design, configuration, deployment and maintenance of Workday configuration.
- Manage full-cycle HRIS projects including building project plans, coordinating testing activities, and tracking project decisions to stay on schedule and execute implementations.
- Develop and maintain technical process documentation related to configuration of Workday.
- Establish protocols for data integrity, data validation, and oversee regular audits of data across Workday.
- Create and maintain documentation for end-user adoption and training.
- Review and test Workday product updates to determine downstream impact to systems, enhanced functionality, and user experience.
- Collaborate with HR Ops and COEs to identify areas of improvement, recommend changes, advise on Workday system capabilities, and implement functional solutions.
- Translate functional requirements into technical specifications via information gathering, workshops, sessions and interviews.
- Research, analyze, document, troubleshoot and resolve routine and semi-complex issues within Workday in collaboration with implementation partners and Workday Community.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver simple to complex custom Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) using Workday report writer.
- Act as primary contact for Workday EIB uploads and maintain upload templates.
- Contribute to testing scripts and execute user acceptance testing activities within the system.
- Establish HR Metrics, effectively communicate their impact, and recommend data driven decisions.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams in Business Applications, Finance, PMO, and external implementation support vendors.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, MIS, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5-8 years experience in HRIS, or a similar role.
- 3+ years experience with Workday is required.
- Proficient experience and knowledge of 3+ Workday modules such as Core HCM, Reporting, Absence, Compensation, Talent, Learning, Peakon, Benefits, Recruiting, Journeys, Help, Workforce Planning etc.
- Workday Pro certified in 2+ modules listed above strongly preferred.
- Direct experience in a Workday implementation is preferred.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of and experience with the system life cycle and object oriented architecture.
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
- Excellent analytical skills, the ability to interpret complex data and recommend data driven actions.
- Advanced Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables.
- Ability to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and drive delivery & execution.
- Exceptional attention to detail and process-oriented individual.
- Effective communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and with cross-functional teams using good judgement.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
$81,700 - $110,000 a year
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $81,700 - $110,000. Pay will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education and training. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus, commission, or other variable pay plan.
