We strive to deliver a screening service that supports the efficient onboarding of our client’s candidates. As a Key Language Researcher, you’ll support this through diligent and accurate processing of reference requests, due diligence checks and database searches.   

Using your language skills where required, you’ll work from a queuing system to verify candidate data and conduct a variety of searches.  Being resourceful and effective in your work, you’ll effectively handle responses from third parties, review results, ensure their accuracy and record findings on the Candidate’s screening report.  

Accountabilities

    • Supporting the processing of candidate screenings by completing employment/education verifications and all checks and searches relevant to the screening.   
    • Following internal procedures and turnaround times for processing employment and education verifications.  
    • Working efficiently and accurately, ensuring the protection of candidate data at all times.  

Responsibilities

    • Researching appropriate points of contact for employment, education and professional status verifications using a variety of sources including candidate data, internal directory and the internet. 
    • Contacting third parties by phone to confirm correct contact details to send verification requests and obtain verbal verifications where required.   
    • Establishing follow up contact with the point of contact requesting verification of the candidate’s employment or education component.   
    • Inputting candidate data into a variety of online systems, process due diligence checks, queue checks and database searches. 
    • Checking candidate documentation meets requirements of checks and searches to be conducted.  
    • Managing responses, reviewing results and updating screening report wording for adverse and noteworthy findings ensuring results are attached to the correct candidate’s screening file.  
    • Ensuring the contact directory is accurate, updating contact names, phone numbers and email addresses where required.  
    • Adding clear and concise notes to the in house software to enable the Candidate Screening Coordinator to proceed with the screening.
    • Liaising with Candidate Screening Coordinators to ensure the timely and accurate processing of reference components, sharing information relevant to the screening. 
    • Answering switchboard calls, directing incoming callers to the most appropriate contact and answering any queries.

Key skills, qualifications and experience

    • 1 + Years’ experience in an office-based, administrative or customer service role is beneficial
    • Basic IT competency with the ability to navigate IT systems and software packages
    • Background in employment screening advantageous
    • The ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and fluently in French and English
