Apprenticely is working with our Company Partner, Mhp.Si, to hire a Web Design Project Management Intern to join their growing team! As a Project Manager intern, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Managers with day-to-day management and coordination of web development. The intern will also assist with designing and maintaining visually appealing, user-friendly, and functional websites. This role will also assist with the help desk, including receiving tickets, assigning, and following up on tasks. You will work closely with their development team to ensure that websites meet client requirements and user needs.

Internships are 3 to 6 months long and are designed to be an on-ramp to a software development career, under the guidance of a professional mentor, and can roll into full-time positions based on employer demand.

What You'll Do

    • Design visually appealing and user-friendly websites that meet client requirements
    • Create website layouts and user interfaces using design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud softwares and/or Figma
    • Develop and maintain Wordpress websites using Wordpress' Gutenberg page builder.
    • Collaborate with development team to ensure that websites are technically sound and meet client expectations
    • Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, web technologies, and programming languages
    • Collaborate with other team members, including project managers and content creators, to ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget
    • Test websites for functionality and resolve any issues that arise
    • Clearly communicates project status, timelines, deliverables, goals, financial status and expectations on a regular basis.
    • Deliver projects on time ensuring agency and clients’ quality standards are met.
    • Communicate technical information in an easily digestible format for other stakeholders

Our Must Haves

    • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Experience using design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud softwares and/or Figma
    • Understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles
    • Experience using Wordpress' Gutenberg page builder.
    • Experience using Project Management methods and tools such as Teamwork and CRM Platforms
    • Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices
    • Can easily adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Maintains relentless attention to detail.
    • Understands the full range of resources and products available throughout the company and has the ability to multitask and work cross-functionally.
    • Solution-oriented mindset and comfortable recommending solutions when problems arise.
    • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with peers, supervisors and clients. Must be sensitive to style differences among others and makes adjustments to own style when working with different people.
    • Clearly demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic environment through flexibility, resilience and a positive outlook.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to work full-time in the United States without a current or future need for visa sponsorship
    • Current Arkansas state resident
    • Ability to work 40 hours a week, following the three to six-month internship
    • Exhibited technical aptitude through projects, experience, or online learning and ability to communicate what you know

Details

    • Pay: $15/hour, not eligible for benefits
    • Schedule: 40-hour week: typically 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday
    • Length of Internship: 3 months
    • Location: Fully Remote
$15 - $15 an hour
How does the interview process work? Apprenticely will conduct an initial phone interview and assessment. Apprenticely will send selected resumes to companies that match the candidate’s skills and interests. Our employer partners will decide who to interview and select the final candidates for the internship program.
