We’re looking to add a Recruiter / Career Coach to our team to help grow a steady pipeline of candidates for our apprenticeship programs across multiple sectors including Information Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare and more. In this role, you’ll connect with job seekers exploring new career paths, assess their fit for specific opportunities, and help prepare them for success in high-demand roles. This position will also assist with other talent development programs: ReSkill Arkansas, Work-Based Learning Internships, monthly webinars and community outreach.

You’ll conduct phone interviews, recommend training options, and guide individuals through the early stages of their career transitions. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys relationship-building, understands workforce development, and wants to make a real difference in people’s lives.

This position reports to the Director of Talent Management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Manage and process incoming applications for Apprenticely’s talent programs
    • Conduct a high volume of phone interviews with candidates—many coming from non-traditional backgrounds—to evaluate their interest, motivation, and readiness to move into new career paths
    • Review assessments and recommend next steps, including training or resources to build technical and career readiness skills
    • Provide candidates with constructive feedback and coaching to support their success
    • Maintain accurate candidate records in our Applicant Tracking System (Lever)
    • Collaborate with employers to understand hiring needs and support matching candidates to available roles
    • Build and maintain a proactive recruiting pipeline for upcoming programs in IT, Healthcare, and Advanced Manufacturing
    • Represent Apprenticely at community events, virtual job fairs, and info sessions to expand outreach and awareness
    • Build relationships with workforce organizations, community colleges, and other partners to strengthen recruitment efforts
    • Stay informed on training programs, industry hiring trends, and talent development best practices—and share insights with the team
    • Act as a point of contact and liaison between candidates, program staff, and employer partners
    • Take on additional projects or responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

    • 2–3 years of experience as a recruiter (in-house or agency)
    • Experience in workforce development or recruiting for IT, healthcare, or manufacturing roles is a plus
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you enjoy talking with people and helping them grow
    • Genuine interest in coaching and supporting job seekers
    • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (we use Lever)
    • Comfortable working independently and managing high-volume recruiting workflows
    • Understanding of military transition or community college recruiting is a bonus
    • Must be currently based in Arkansas
