ACDS is working with our company partner, the Scott Family Amazeum to add a Graphic Designer Intern to their team in Bentonville, Arkansas!

Our ACDS Internship Program is a three-month program that places selected candidates with employers across Arkansas in IT positions to gain experience under the guidance of a professional mentor/IT support team. Internships are designed as an on-ramp to an IT career and can roll into full-time positions based on employer demand.

About our Company Partner: The Scott Family Amazeum is a hands-on, interactive museum in Northwest Arkansas and recognized as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to engage the imagination of children and their families through interactive exhibits, programs, and resources while creating an excitement for lifelong learning and the enrichment of lives! They create a fun environment where risk taking, imagining, problem solving, discovery, collaboration, and exploration bring children and adults together to learn and grow!
 
Through experiences with the Amazeum, individuals and the community are engaged in building relationships and developing identities as creative, curious, and innovative shapers for the region. Learning at the Amazeum is an active, playful exploration that inspires curiosity. It is rooted in inquiry-based discovery and involves an element of risk. Hands-on learning opportunities allow guests to exercise critical thinking in the context of play. 

What You'll Do...

    • Design and develop marketing materials such as digital ads, social media graphics, and print materials that are visually appealing and effectively communicate the Amazeum's intended message.
    • Collaborate ccross-functionally to gather design requirements and feedback, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
    • Manage and maintain the organization's website and social media presence, ensuring that content is up-to-date, accurate, and optimized for search engines.
    • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement   
    • Organize and manage digital assets such as photos, videos, and graphics for easy access and sharing. 
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and design software to continuously improve design skills and  techniques. 

Our Must Haves...

    • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, iOS, Final Cut Pro, or other similar tools.  
    • A thorough understanding of branding and marketing
    • Knowledge or experience with content creation, management, or production
    • Basic coding experience with HTML, Java, and CSS
    • An online portfolio that demonstrates skills and creativity
    • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
    • Exhibited technical aptitude through projects, experience, or online learning and ability to communicate what you know
    • Ability to pass a standard background check and standard drug screen
    • Current Arkansas state resident
    • Ability to work full-time in the United States without a current or future need for visa sponsorship

Details

    • Pay: $15/hour
    • Schedule: 40-hour week: typically 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday
    • Length of Internship: 3 months
    • Location: Bentonville, Arkansas
$15 - $15 an hour
How does the interview process work? ACDS will conduct an initial phone interview and assessment. ACDS will send selected resumes to companies that match the candidate’s skills and interests. Our employer partners will decide who to interview and select the final candidates for the internship program.
