About the Position 
We are looking for a Vendor Relations Manager to join our team!  As a Vendor Relations Manager within the Marketplace Operations department, it you are responsible for partnering with our Marketplace vendors to expand reward exposure, drive incremental revenue, and deliver the best redemption experience for our members, worldwide. You will play a key role in supporting the selection and optimization of locally relevant rewards in our catalog, monitoring vendor performance, and improving upon price targets for assigned vendor accounts. Working collaboratively within a global, matrixed, and fast-paced environment to deliver successful outcomes, strong communication and organization skills are essential to this role. 

Responsibilities


    • Vendor Management & Strategy: 
    • Effectively manage a diverse vendor portfolio, spanning varying countries, technologies, and business sizes. 
    • Coordinate meetings, communications, and presentations to unlock the utmost potential in partnerships. Tailor information delivery to suit the audience. 
    • Enforce high support standards, analyzing and resolving critical customer needs and partnering to achieve scalable solutions. 
    • Manage initiatives including but not limited to: efficiency improvements, escalations, performance metrics, growth opportunities, platform changes or promotion opportunities.  
    • Oversee all facets of vendor contract management, including negotiations, amendments, and renewal flows in partnership with Legal and InfoSec.  
    • Ensure alignment and adherence of vendor contracts with evolving business needs, contracted commitments, operational objectives, and industry standards. 
    • Leverage global vendor product portfolios to identify expansion opportunities, enhancing the Marketplace offering whilst supporting revenue and margin goals. 
    • Develop and maintain in-depth global vendor portfolio knowledge.  Support all assigned internal vendor relations inquiries and assist in RFP’s focused on Marketplace offerings.  
    • Data Review 
    • Effectively leverage data tools and reporting to analyze, interpret, and deliver key details to stakeholders. 
    • Track vendor performance and identify variances requiring action. 
    • Identify opportunities for margin improvements and optimize product pricing and margin via negotiations. 
    • Effectively communicate key data points across varying audiences.  
    • Cross Functional Enablement 
    • Partner, collaborate and communicate across cross-departmental stakeholders to manage needs, ensure alignment, and set up teams for success. Examples as follows. 
    • Fulfillment: Support vendor order escalations, volume spikes, or integration enablement alongside opportunities to increase vendor efficiencies. 
    • Promotions: Facilitate promotional sales and campaigns with vendor partners and secure marketing fund opportunities.  
    • Merchandising: Help identify new product or expansion opportunities, and ensure products are merchandised adequately into our marketplace.  
    • Vendor Partnerships: Identify, and deliver, strategic vendor expansion opportunities. 
    • Business Process and Documentation: Manage Vendor Relations resources and documentation, focusing on creation, improvement, or updating thereof. 
    • Customer Success: Promptly communicate customer-impacting vendor issues, or support customer inquiries through internal communication channels. Serve as the first point of contact for all on-going communications related to the vendor issue.  
    • Finance: Resolve vendor payment or financial inquiries, and support tracking vendor commissions and/or rebates. 
    • Customer Care: Support the resolution of vendor-centric inquiries received, as needed. 
    • Legal: Support the update, revision, and/or creation of vendor contracts. 
    • Product & Engineering: Act as an intermediary between audiences to ensure all business needs are met pertaining to system-level changes or new feature opportunities. 
    • Support ongoing CSR & DEI initiatives as it relates to our Marketplace pillar.  

Qualifications

    • 3 to 5+ years of Vendor Management/eCommerce experience  
    • Experience with tracking vendor performance success against KPIs  
    • Ability to effectively negotiate with key stakeholders and vendors. 
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a global mindset  
    • Excellent analytical skills to solve ambiguous problems and develop insights from large data sets  
    • Self-starter; acts with a sense of urgency, proven results and solution-oriented 
    • Evidence of effective time management and prioritization against business needs 
    • Proficiency with CRMs such as Salesforce an asset  
    • Experience with using analytical tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Tableau) an asset. 
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred  
    • Fluency in Spanish an asset
