We're looking for a highly motivated, energetic Manager, Marketplace Analytics & Insights with proven experience analyzing large data sets to inform, surface, recommend and guide critical business decisions. This role, reporting into VP Marketplace, is responsible for all data analyses within theMarketplace Division.  
 
Our Marketplace Operations team supports the rewards component of the business. We have great brand positioning in the market with the opportunity to grow our global Marketplace catalogue and drive continued adoption across customers current and future. This role will spearhead the establishment of a core analytical team within Marketplace Operations. The role will support robust analytical reporting, methodologies and insights on order and product redemption behaviours/trends, incorporating eCommerce analytical strategies and forecasting to drive continued growth. Ongoing deliverables may include monthly reporting packages, leadership reports, informative dashboards, and bespoke trend analysis for key product supplier and/or brand accounts. Additionally, this role will support initiatives to drive data automation and related process improvements. 

Scope of Position: 
As the Manager, Marketplace Insight & Analytics, this pivotal role spearheads the establishment and leadership of a new and dedicated functional team within the Marketplace Operations department. Beyond foundational setup, this position is entrusted with driving strategic evolution, fostering team growth, and executing advanced analytics strategies crucial to our global business transformation. At the root of this dynamic role lies the responsibility of providing strategic, data-driven oversight to all functional teams within Marketplace Operations, as well as collaborating with cross-functional units linked to the Marketplace ecosystem. The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in the implementation and nurturing of a robust system of analytical workflows and tools, with a particular emphasis on leveraging AI capabilities, to ensure scalability alongside the delivery of impactful analyses. This role stands as a linchpin in the transformation of our data utilization and interpretation processes, significantly contributing to the successful revamping of key operational processes and systems to meet and exceed the evolving needs of our members, customers, and shareholders on a global scale.

    • Analysis & Modeling  
    • Global Insight: Provide global redemption insights; recommend strategies to enhance revenue/margin health. 
    • Advanced Analytics: Conduct analysis via statistical methods/learning models to derive actionable insights.  
    • Predictive Modeling: Develop/maintain predictive data modeling and analysis techniques to discover/deliver insights guiding strategic decisions and uncovering optimization opportunities.  
    • Forecasting Excellence: Create/maintain forecasting models to track Marketplace potential vs. performance across key revenue pillars (i.e. promotions, merchandising, etc.). 
    • Insightful Reporting: Deliver meaningful reports/models for business assessments (i.e. feature pricing, etc.). 
    • Behavioural Modeling: Build models depicting potential business outcomes driven by changes in product and/or member behaviour, framing recommendations to achieve desired outcomes. 
    • Executive Insight: Examine, interpret, and present analytical outcomes in a compelling/meaningful way.  

    • Team Collaboration & Enablement  
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders (i.e. Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Revenue Ops, FP&A, etc.) to best support business needs and priorities. 
    • Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance/actionable insights to inform decisions and drive results. 
    • Cross-Functional Guide: Support/mentor analytical peers, ensuring alignment and strength in data integrity.  
    • Partnership Development: Partner on the assessment and value-add of new potential reward partners. 
    • Goal Alignment: Foster alignment in goals and deliverables across stakeholders to support business needs.  
    • Growth Mindset: Create/support relevant programs to empower colleagues in analytics activities. 
    • FP&A Alignment: Deliver Marketplace forecasting materials (or similar) to support FP&A/Board deliverables.  

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field i.e. Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related.  
    • 7+ years of proven experience in a strategic analytics within the e-commerce, retail, or technology sectors.  
    • Experience leading a small team of analysts, including recruitment, coaching, and performance management. 
    • Experience with advanced data analysis techniques, statistical modeling, and machine learning algorithms. 
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract meaningful insights. 
    • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. 
    • Proven experience and impact with leveraging AI capabilities (via Microsoft Power Automate an asset). 
    • Deep understanding of business operations and ability to form/align analytics initiatives with business goals. 
    • Experience working with databases and querying languages (e.g., SQL) and advance skillset in Excel. 
    • Strong background in complex quantitative thinking, data analysis, statistical analysis. 
    • Independent self-starter with a sense of urgency, proven results and solution-oriented. 
    • Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense. 
    • Excellent verbal/written skills to articulate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders. 
    • Ability to create compelling and visually appealing reports and presentations. 
    • Experience managing analytics projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of insights. 
    • Ability to adapt to evolving data landscapes and technologies. 
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions. 
    • Experience with Salesforce dashboard creation an asset.
