We are seeking individuals who are interested in helping ACPL further our mission of enriching the community through lifelong learning and discovery.
Would you like to spend your summer making a positive impact on the youth of our community? We are looking for adults to supervise our Teen Readers. You will travel along with the teens and supervise them as they visit local parks, community centers, and library locations throughout Allen County. The teens read and play educational games with lower elementary-aged children. You will help foster this engagement and support the Teen Readers as they develop life skills and gain valuable work experience.
Hourly rate of pay: $15.79
Must be available to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00-3:00 during the months of June and July. Due to the brief nature of this program, Team Read Supervisors must not miss more than 3 working days.
Team Read Supervisor Requirements
- Good literacy skills
- Ability to interact well with children and teens
- Must have a genuine interest in and understanding of children and teens
- Must possess good interpersonal communication skills sufficient for supervising teens
- Valid driver's license required
