We’re looking for a friendly and service-minded individual to join us at our vibrant Main Library in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne. As a Branch Assistant in our Circulation Department, you’ll be at the center of it all—greeting patrons, helping them sign up for library cards, answering questions, and checking out materials. The schedule will be 28 hours per week and will include a mix of day, evening, and weekend shifts.


Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalent; AND one (1) year of customer service OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 


Compensation & Benefits

    • Starting pay is $13.77 per hour and up based on related and comparable work experience

Physical Demands

    • Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment and stamina to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and push carts that may weigh up to 100 pounds; agility to bend, reach and climb; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
