Internship Overview
We are looking for interns to join us for our 2025 Summer Internship Program! This 12-week program is set to begin June 2nd, so if you are looking for an incredible opportunity to partner with the best and brightest minds in the industry, apply today. This program has been designed with our interns in mind and includes structured learning plans, a dedicated buddy, and a focused capstone project that you will have the opportunity to present in our Internship Showcase! 
 
What It’s Like Interning with Us!
Social Events— just because the internship is remote, doesn’t mean we don’t have time for fun! Recognizing the international nature of the program, we prioritize fostering global connection and networking opportunities among all the interns who participate. In the past, we have hosted remote events such as tie-dye shirt event, tiny camp fire—complete with smores(!!!), a murder mystery party, and so much more 
Time with Executives— Interns all get a chance to connect with our executive team through panel discussions, 1:1s, Q&A meetings, and events
Workshops & Leader Connects — Interns all participate in Leader Connects where they get to learn more about Leaders in HCLSoftware, as well as workshops geared towards new professionals
Opportunity to travel – we will be hosting a hybrid orientation! For those that are interested in being in person for orientation, we will fly you to your closest resident office. 

Position Overview
Join Actian’s global UX team, where designers, content strategists, and design system experts collaborate to create seamless, user-centric experiences. As a UX design intern, you'll work under the guidance of our Design Manager and closely support our Design System Lead in refining and expanding our design system.
 
You’ll also collaborate with the broader project team to ensure solutions are intuitive and design-driven, making a meaningful impact on our products. Your work will help create delightful experiences that bring value to our users and align with our mission of innovation and usability.
 
Capstone Overview
You’ll develop design components to enhance the user experience by gathering insights, exploring emerging trends, and iterating on ideas to create intuitive solutions. Your work will not only add useful and usable components but also increase efficiency, cohesion, and delight in the overall platform experience.

Responsibilities:

    • Conduct research to gather insights into user needs, explore emerging trends, and refine design solutions
    • Design user interface components and interaction patterns to improve usability and consistency
    • Collaborate with the design team to enhance and streamline the design system
    • Contribute to the development of a cohesive and efficient platform experience by creating intuitive, user-friendly components that improve usability and create a delightful experience 

Nice to have:

    • Currently enrolled in a master’s program in Interaction Design or a related field, with an undergraduate degree in a design discipline such as Interaction Design, Communication Design, or Industrial Design
    • Passion for emerging design trends and technologies
    • Open to feedback with a problem-solving mindset to iterate and refine designs
    • Previous experience in digital product design through internships
    • Highly proficient in Figma
    • Strong skills in conceptualizing design ideas, creating mockups, and developing prototypes
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and curious, with a desire to push the boundaries of design and technology
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to iterate quickly and prototype efficiently

Requirements:

    • Must be actively enrolled in a college degree program
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
$20 - $30 an hour
