As a Sales Development Representative, you will be strategizing with your Sales teams reaching out to both Mid-Market and Fortune 1000 companies and providing valued insights and stories that showcase Actian technology and unique value proposition. With Actian’s data technology fueling your day-to-day analytics to support your selling + our investments in innovative sales automation tools at your fingertips, you will be responsible for prospecting new business, continually learning new skills that will prepare you for the fast track into more senior sales roles in the future – including Senior SDR roles, Territory outside sales, and Enterprise Account Executive roles.

Responsibilities:

    • Manage multichannel communication activities to validate, nurture and place information of validated leads into the central CRM system.
    • Pass on Marketing Qualified Leads to Sales team, or business partner sales team.
    • Plan and manage contact strategies to support audience engagement, lead nurturing, conversion, retention and to reduce churn rates.
    • Liaise closely with other departments and engage stakeholders to ensure the CRM and tools are fully embedded across all integrated campaigns, and ensure a fast and efficient lead passing process.
    • Knowledge for all technical aspects of the CRM and email system, to ensure optimization, delivery and service.
    • Some email marketing and/online marketing and the planning, creation and testing of campaigns.
    • Maintain accurate and clean customer records in the CRM database, including all interactions, customer contacts, and product ownership information.

Experience and Requirements:

    • 1-4 years’ experience of software sales and lead management
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Online relationship building skills
    • Enthusiastic, energetic, motivated with a positive attitude
    • Ability to obtain sales-level understanding of numerous complex products and pricing
    • Flexibility in scheduling, due to different time zones and locations
    • A proactive, self-managed, analytical and problem-solving mindset
    • Passion for digital techniques and technologies.
    • Prior sales training and experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
    • Ability to use or learn to use modern sales prospecting tools, including: ZoomInfo, SalesLoft/Outreach, and LinkedIn SalesNavigator, Drift chat
